It's at the top of the heap when it comes to fit, comfort, and resisting impact, with a super-adjustable incremental sizing system that makes it possible to dial in fit that's far more comfortable than you can get with a traditional dial adjustment. In addition to the lightweight carbon-composite shell, the MIPS system takes the sting out of rotational impacts for those inevitable times that see you bounce down a tranny onto your noggin. The shape of the D3 isn't radically different than the D2, but it does pack a little bit more foam into key areas and tweaks the cheek and jaw pads to provide a snugger, more comfortable fit.
